impowersoft and SEMCAT have partnered to integrate the latter's comparative rating capabilities in impowersoft 's ground-breaking agency management system, Aspire.


SEMCAT: S ingle E ntry M ultiple C ompany A ssistance T ool. SEMCAT is a comparative quoting solution that helps agents quote and bind policies quickly. Agents can use SEMCAT to automatically fill in information into the agent's carrier websites, and in some cases, process quotes directly with the carrier system, eliminating redundant typing and saving agents up to 85% of their quoting time.

impowersoft ’s Aspire is a full web-based application built using Microsoft’s .NET Framework 3.5 for the insurance industry designed to assist agencies better manage their clients and employees. It is a complete customer relationship management system which helps agencies with their day-to-day business activities. This product will allow agents to enhance productivity, increase efficiency, and allow for constant connection to their office from anywhere in the world.

Agents using Aspire will be able to use SEMCAT to run quotes with carriers, thereby eliminating the manual workflow of running quotes for customer policies. Agents who currently use SEMCAT can integrate their existing SEMCAT accounts with Aspire, retaining historical policy information for existing clients.

The integration bridge will utilize ACORD XML standard, which has proven to be the most efficient method and an industry standard in transferring insurance policy information between systems. All data will be transferred using 128 bit SSL (secure-socket-layer) over http.

Following is the Workflow to quote policies from Aspire through SEMCAT:


  • Agent can create the customer and add policy information directly into Aspire.
  • Agent can transfer the customer policy details to SEMCAT with one click.
  • Agent will then retrieve the customer policy information using SEMCAT software and process the quote directly with carriers.
  • Once the quote is received, agents can add the quote information directly into Aspire.
  • Agent can then create a customer proposal with the quote information, using tools provided within Aspire, and forward the information directly to customer via postal mail, fax, or email.

Bind Policy

  • Agent will use SEMCAT to select the quoted policy and bind it directly with the carrier.
  • The bound policy information will automatically be retrieved directly into Aspire, using Aspire’s carrier download feature.
  • Agent can then use Apire’s state-of-the-art AMS tools to manage the policy.
